A great leader who was an inspiration to all has die after a long illness.
Mr Mandela who was 95, was receiving medical treatment for the last three years and for the last six months has been critically ill.
The anti-apartheid icon served as South Africa’s first black president from 1994 to 1999, after spending 27 years in the notorious Robben Island prison.
Madiba – as he was affectionately known by many in South Africa – was released in 1990 and went on to guide his country to democracy.
He won the Nobel peace prize for leading South Africa to peace and democracy.
Mr Mandela was the most respected world leader there has ever been, he transformed not just South Africa, but humanity itself.
After getting out of Robben Island he ended apartheid and made sure the black people would not dominate the white people, turning South Africa into a peaceful nation.
May his legacy live on and other leaders learn from him.

Well said Harry – feel like a relative has died
A great father figure.
Beautiful tribute in your poem Harry. We have all lost a very special man who followed his heart no matter what. Cant imagine all he has been through. Its very humbling to say the least.
Thanks Chris, they were both done in a hurry.
Thanks for this Harry.
