The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 29,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 11 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

A quiz for all the bright people.

type102

No cheating

There are only nine questions.  This is a quiz for people who know everything!

I found out in a hurry that I didn’t.  These are no trick questions.

They are straight questions with straight answers..
********************************************************************

1. Name the one sport in which neither the spectators nor the participants know the score or the leader until the contest ends.

2. What famous North American landmark is constantly moving backward?

3. Of all vegetables, only two can live to produce on their own for several growing seasons. All other vegetables must be replanted every year. What are the only two perennial vegetables?

4. What fruit has its seeds on the outside?

5. In many liquor stores, you can buy pear brandy, with a real pear inside the bottle. The pear is whole and ripe, and the bottle is genuine; it hasn’t been cut in any way. How did the pear get inside the bottle?

6. Only three words in standard English begin with the letters ‘dw’ and they are all common words. Name two of them.

7. There are 14 punctuation marks in English grammar. Can you name at least half of them?

8. Name the only vegetable or fruit that is never sold frozen, canned, processed, cooked, or in any other form except fresh.

9. Name 6 or more things that you can wear on your feet beginning with the letter ‘S.’

Try to answer before you go to the answers below.

~ Someone Needs to Speak, Truth

Poet's Corner

~ Someone Needs to Speak, Truth
Never in American history has a Commander-in-Chief endured such opposition to nearly every task at hand. From Homeland Security to Forgien Affairs, from his influence and suggestion of dealing with Terrorist Cells to Immigration Laws, and Obama Care.
Never in American history has a Commander -in-Chief been subjected to blatant, deplorable acts of disrespect. Yet he endures; not throughout one adminstration, but two! His fortitude is to be commended.
Blocked by opposing parties, those holding resentment within their ‘human’ hearts, deep seeded animosity from eras past…intent on history depicting him as a failure, daily devising negativity, sure to make black in headlines, focusing on fabricated ‘heresay’…and the Media gobbles it up; they too barely holding at bay their ‘human weakness’…
You couch politicians have no right to complain! You racist, still under the illusion, the delusion that “man is NOT created equal” have much…

BEFORE CHAINSAWS….THIS IS TRULY AMAZING

type102
Before chainsaws were invented, the logging industry in the United States & Canada was a seriously challenging occupation and we are only talking about 125 years ago.
In the Pacific Northwest there were forests full of monster trees and cutting them down was done by hand.
A friend sent me these photos and I had to share them with you.

Look at the length of the two-man hand saw and heavy duty axes above that they used to drop these tremendous trees. It is almost inconceivable to think of cutting down a tree this size with a hand saw.

MESSAGE TO MUSLIM SAVAGES: JE SUIS CHARLIE

Balladeer's Blog

Je Suis CharlieWhat kind of savages kill people for drawing pictures? Oh, yeah … Muslim savages. Today everyone with a backbone (which of course leaves out the gutless apologists for Islam) is expressing solidarity with the dozen human beings slain at Charlie Hebdo magazine in France. That magazine is one of the few publications that has the courage to openly criticize Islam, the most homophobic, misogynistic and otherwise intolerant religion in the world at this particular point in history. In 2011 Islamofascists firebombed the publication’s offices and yesterday the superstitious animals mounted a terrorist attack at the magazine’s offices, killing twelve and wounding over twenty others.

Killed by superstitious savages. Killed by superstitious savages.

JE SUIS CHARLIE (“I am Charlie”) is that show of solidarity demonstrating that the rabid madmen of Islam will not shut down freedom of expression no matter how many cowardly politicians or spineless celebrities like Ben Affleck kowtow to them.

Day after…

Muslims are not Terrorists

The Great Indian Hitch

image

This is written by a Muslim.

There are some disgusting people who associate Islam with terrorism. They believe that Muslims are terrorists. This is wrong. This is insane. It is a sick mentality. The Quran teaches peace. Islam is against violence. Just because a few people with long beards are terrorists, it does not signify that they are Muslims.
It is a fact that terrorism has no religion. People ought to understand this. People should not be insensitive towards a particular section of society.
