I’m writing about the House of Lords, in Westminster, in the British Parliament.
This place is full of people with airs and graces, some who do not deserve their title and others their title was handed down.
Some of them are full of shit, so much so they have upgraded two toilets in the House of Lords, at the cost of £100,000, what are they bloody people playing at when money is so tight for the county / government.
The rooms are not the only toilets in the building and are not particularly big, with one cubicle and two urinals in the men’s toilets and one cubicle plus a hand basin in the women’s
However, the costs will not be helped by the fact that the work must comply with English Heritage requirements for grade one listed buildings.
It includes replacing “historic oak panelling”, minor demolition work, new decorations and new sanitary equipment.
Taxpayers’ Alliance chief executive Matthew Sinclair said the sums involved were “eye-watering”.
“A family could afford to build themselves a home for this much cash,” he said.
“The parliamentary authorities need to ensure refurbishments to the estate provide value for taxpayers’ money.”
I think so indeed, let them use toilets like us common people do upgraded to a good standard and that should cost no more than £ 30,000.
Come on Lords, get your heads out of your arse’s and smell the rose’s.

They serve the same as the upper house in the states, if they attend they get between £400 and £500 a day, and there’s to many of them, bloody wasters 🙂

What a pile of crap! £500 a day to fall asleep! And to think this country has food banks too!! We talk aout the necessity of balance in life. There is none in this regard. I could get so cross!
