Uganda’s anti-gay death law going through Parliament.

Pope Benedict XVI has given blessings to Uganda Parliament Speaker Rebecca Kadaga during a mass attended by thousands of pilgrims at the Vatican.
Kadaga who led a delegation of Ugandan legislators to the Vatican expressed delight at meeting the Pope and visiting St Peter’s Basilicca.

She was in Rome to attend a World Parliamentary Conference on Human Rights.
SHE is the Ugandan Speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga said that an anti-gay bill being considered by the body would be passed as “a Christmas gift” to the people of Uganda. Homosexuality is already criminalized in Uganda, but the new bill of Kadaga’s essentially makes it illegal to be gay, the punishment being the death penalty or life imprisonment. It is called “kill the gays” bill.
This woman is supposed to be a devoted Christian so how can she go about making a law which will end up with the deaths of many people.
And instead of speaking out against her actions you can see the pope is effectively condoning her actions by giving her the Papal blessing.
This is the same Pope who did nothing against the pedophile Priests all over the world who molested children, in fact he did everything he could to hide the facts and still does to this day.
The pope and Vatican that sits on untold wealth, vast wealth, while many of their people starve to death.
Rebecca Kadaga and the Pope must be two of a kind, they don’t give a damn about other people, they have a good job and aim to keep it.
I hope the people of Uganda and parliament stop this bill going through or there will be thousands killed, or rise up and take action.

Thanks Kerry, he must also condone pedophile priests because he has done nothing to them or to short it out.
It defies belief does it not? Or in this case, the less who believed in this appalling bigotry and discrimination, the better. It is not my business what consenting adults do in private, just like it is no-one else’s what I do.
It is private how they or anyone wish to live, i see you over at Jessie’s blog a lot.
A good blog. I enjoy her posts. Someone else’s beliefs should not dominate anyone else’s life. And that’s what this is about (as is the anti-abortion or contraception movement in the USA).

You are correct were is the tolerance, a Russian football club supporters have told the club not to have any more gays or blacks.
Instances of this are all over the world. There’s no lack of hatred, that’s for sure. A few more voices for love, for tolerance, for acceptance of differences, then perhaps… The heart knows what the mind can never comprehend, of all that is possible.

The present Pope was a Hitler Youth something….. makes me think there’s something in your post.
Ren, yes your right he was in the Hitler youth movement, which meant if the war went on long enough he would join the army and they also reported people even their own family who disagreed with Hitler.

Makes me wonder how these beliefs elevate the persons doing the believing.They must be fed somehow, in some way, and this is what i find frightening and that which concerns me.
